Good copy in slightly frayed / stained dust-wrapper. Alf Curtis was born in Waltham Abbey, in Essex. In later life, he kept a fishing tackle shop (in Edmonton, North London?). There he met the writer, Fred J. Speakman, and told him his story. Tales of a life of poaching, bird catching and rabbiting, mostly in Epping Forest, with a lengthy chapter on fishing the River Lee and the London reservoirs. .
