Charles Maitland Fair (September 18, 1916 - July 28, 2014) was an American neuroscience researcher and writer. Charles M. Fair was a true polymath. Over his lifetime, he worked as a neuroscientist, jazz pianist, computer executive, and cultural critic, publishing academic papers in Science alongside poetry in The New Yorker. His diverse background allowed him to examine military history with a uniquely sharp psychological perspective.
