As shown, dust jacket is worn with light staining and taped torn areas, but book comes with a protective Mylar cover to prevent any future wear. Green and white cover is lightly faded at top and bottom edges with gold lettering on spine. Corners are lightly bumped and flap is not clipped. A holiday inscription to former owner appears on second front flyleaf. No marked or torn text pages, but tiny creases were found at bottom of a few pages. Black and white photos throughout. Inside front cover shows an illustration of Civil War baseball, and book has an introduction by Stan Musial. Some cartoons within were drawn by Charles Schulz. A very good vintage copy.
