Moreover, these are tiles which the collector may still from time to time obtain for reasonable prices. Repro-ductions of such specimens will be found side by side with illustrations of the more distinguished wares of the Dutch factories. This is one of the reasons why the chapters on Dutch tiles are more profusely illustrated than some of the others, another reason for this arose from our desire to provide an accurate impression of the many blues.…
