This final work from Senator Ted Kennedy was published in October of 2009, two months after his death. This "special edition" was limited to 1000 copies, each selling for $1,000, from the Hachette Book Group. The publisher advertised the book as "electronically signed" by Kennedy, a detail which was missed by many collectors. Senator Kennedy received an $8 million advance on the book, with sales of the "special edition" attempting to recoup their costs. (New York Times, Motoko Rich, 2009).
