Zustand: Collectible. FINE/FINE. Black boards, blue cloth spine, gold titling on spine. (Jacket in Brodart). SIGNED by AUTHOR - famed College Football Hall of Fame coach Glenn Edward "Bo" Schembechler, Jr. (Apr 1, 1929 - Nov 17, 2006) - signed boldly on title page - dated 12/31/89 !!! -- New Years Eve, 2 days before he coached his team, the University of Michigan Wolverines, in his last game with them - the 1989 Rose Bowl where he met and defeated USC 22-14. This capped his heralded college coaching career record of 194-48-5 with Michigan with 13 Big Ten Conference titles, leading up to his induction into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1993. He was regarded by his peers as having great personal integrity. Schembechler retired as head football coach after this 1989 season. Turning "pro" in 1990, he took the job as president of Major League Baseball's Detroit Tigers. But this book is a U Michigan, Coach Schembechler rarity. His swan song signature with his eyes set on the coming Rose Bowl and its career closing win. A Michigan football alum couldn't ask for anything better, unless it's a trophy or game ring. This is your shot at a unique memento spotlighting a rare moment in college football history, held by your hero, and made real. [B234]. Signed by Author.
