Rüttelt es doch an den Festen / Quellen von unbegrenzten Geld und perverser Verschwendung die nicht auf Arbeitsleistung und eigenen Können sondern auf Zufällen berucht. Bestechend logisch leitet T.Gold die mögliche Entstehung und den Ursprung von unseren Kohlewasserstoffen her, die wir evtl. nur noch heute als -fossil- bezeichnen. Sein Theorie beschäftigt sich mit dem Henne - Ei - Prinzip in der Erdöl- und Erdgasentstehung. Er beleuchtet die Frage, 'Wo kam das erste Ei her?!' damit das daraus geschlüpfte Huhn Eier legen kann. Sprich, er beschäftigt sich mit dem Ursprung des Lebens damit dieses überhaupt erstmal abgestorbene Reste bilden konnte. Die Reste die wir in der Schule gelernt haben, die Basis der fossilen E.Träger sein sollen. Es gibt zu dem Buch, dadurch bin ich erst mal drauf gekommen, einen sehr interessanten Beitrag von Konrad Fischer auf youtube. Er schildert dort ein interessantes Telefongespräch.Für Menschen die bereits sind über den Tellerrand zu schauen und auch Gegenwind nicht scheuen eine ganz klare Leseempfehlung!Im Juni 1997 hatte mich die NASA aufgefordert, bei der alljährlichen Vorlesungsveranstaltung am Goddard Raumfahrtzentrum in Maryland den Festvortrag zu halten. Meine Beiträge zur Theorie der Biosphäre in der heißen Tiefe der Erde und der Umstand, daß diese Theorie die Möglichkeit für außerirdisches Leben erlaubt, haben mir diese Einladung eingebracht. Natürlich hat mir diese Einladung geschmeichelt. Gleichzeitig ärgerte mich das Thema, über das ich sprechen sollte. "Leben unter extremen Umweltbedingungen". Ich hatte wenig Interesse, über die Biosphäre an der Erdoberfläche zu sprechen, und doch, hätte ich das Thema wörtlich genommen, wäre es genau das gewesen, worüber ich hätte sprechen sollen. Das Leben unter extremen Umweltbedingungen ist nämlich das Leben an der Erdoberfläche, unser Leben. Wenn es eine Idee gibt, von der ich hoffe, daß Sie - werter Leser - sie noch lange nach der Lektüre dieses Buches in sich hegen, so ist es die folgende: Wir an der Erdoberfläche sind es, die unter extremen Umweltbedingungen leben. Professor em., Cornell Universität Ithaca N.Y. 14853 USA Thomas Gold, 1920 in Wien geboren besuchte seit 1939 das Trinity College in Cambridge UK, arbeitete dann als Wissenschaftsoffizier der britischen Admiralität an der Entwicklung des Radars und der U-Boot Abwehr. Ab 1946 Forschungsarbeiten über das Gehör und das innere Ohr; Gold entwickelte die Theorie über die Wirkung des Akustischen Labyrinths, die erst heute nach 44 Jahren bestätigt wurde, und lehrte am Cavendish Laboratorium fortgeschrittene Mechanik und Relativitätstheorie Ab 1952 ist Gold Chief Assistent to the Astronomer Royal in Herstmonceux, Sussex. Von 1953 bis 1956 Professor für Astronomie in Harvard, wechselt 1956 zur Cornel Universität über, wo er als Vorsitzender der Abteilung Astronomie das Zentrum für Strahlenphysik und Raumforschung aufbaute und für den Bau des Radio-observatoriums in Arecibo, in Puerto Rico mit der größten Radioantenne der Welt verantwortlich war. Gold veröffentlichte zahlreiche Abhandlungen zu Fragen der Astronomie, Geophysik, Physik der Planetenräume. Von ihm stammte die erste Erklärung der Pulsare als rotierende Neutronen-Sterne. 1964 wurde er zum Mitglied der Royal Society und 1968 dem der US National Academy of Science gewählt. Seit 1985 Träger der Goldmedallie der königlichen astronomischen Gesellschaft. Seit seinem Ruhestand 1985 arbeit Thomas Gold vor allem an Fragen der Geophysik und Geochemie und dort vor allem über die Entstehung von Erdöl und Erdgas.
