Jens Jensen immigrated from Denmark to the United States, started his career working for West Side Park System in Chicago where his conservation zeal helped preserve large areas of Chicago from development. His design work includes various Parks: Garfield, Humboldt, Douglass, Pulaski, and Columbus. After retirement, he was commissioned by Edsel and Eleanor Ford to provide designs for four residences, one being Gaukler Point on the shores of Lake St. Clair, Grosse Point Shores, residence and gardens are now a public historical landscape and house museum on the National Register of Historical Places. ; 11 X 8.75 inches; 240 pages.
