Everything you know about Monarch Butterflies, you know because of Brower s work, both scientific and outreach. He was a great teacher, an important researcher, a torch-bearing conservationist, and a leading light in lepidoptery. We are extremely excited to offer his books. Hardcover with pictorial dust jacket. DJ has mild edge wear, but is generally crisp and clean. Paper label that reads "On EN" taped near the bottom of the spine panel of the DJ. "On EN" refers to ENDNOTE, the bibliographical program used by Brower to organize his books. Book is bound in brown cloth over boards with gold lettering down the spine. Covers are generally neat and tidy, with very mild wear along edges. Corners are slightly bumped. Binding is tight and secure. Multiple notes from Brower on the FAEP, including mention of a typo on page 46, his approval of the citing of many expert studies, and the exceptions to what he calls "color prove rule" on page 54. Brower has written his name on the FFEP along with a note that reads "Gift of Publisher for use of slide, p. 66 Gaillardia and Rhododepsa, 31 Oct 1980".
