Es un idioma que ya se habla en muchos países del mundo y también se enseña en escuelas y colegios de países en los cuales el español no es una lengua oficial. El español no se habla sólo en España como lengua oficial sino también en América Latina. Eso se debe a la colonización española que surgió a partir del siglo XV. En América Latina existen muchas variedades del castellano porque durante la colonización y los años posteriores, las lenguas indígenas se mezclaron con el castellano y así se formaron variedades del español.El énfasis de este trabajo va a ser en el español de Perú. Además, el quechua, que es la lengua general en Perú y la lengua indígena de los Incas, también va a ser importante en este trabajo. En Perú, el quechua es el idioma indígena que más se habla hoy en día.Para comenzar, la colonización de Perú y sus consecuencias van a ser explicadas y luego la situación lingüística actual en Perú va a ser descrita. En la segunda parte de este trabajo, las variedades del español de Perú van a ser descritas brevemente y por tanto la influencia del quechua en el español de Perú va a ser demostrada e ilustrada mediante unos ejemplos.En la tercera parte, la situación lingüística y la importancia del quechua en Perú va a ser analizada y explicada para poder responder en la última parte de este trabajo la pregunta de cómo se manifiesta el quechua en el español de Perú y cuales son las consecuencias de la convivencia de los dos idiomas en Perú. Para ilustrar la situación lingüística en Perú, el estudio de Eva Gugenberger, la cual es una profesora alemana, va a ocupar un papel muy importante en este trabajo como su estudio explica la situación del quechua a nivel macro, a nivel micro y a nivel individual. El estudio de Gugenberger se ha realizado en Perú mediante cuestionarios contestados por los habitantes y por eso ese estudio sirve bastante de ayuda para el análisis de la situación en Perú. Además, el estudio de Anita Herzfeld, que se ha realizado en Perú, también va a servir para explicar la situación individual con respecto al quechua comparado con el español y el inglés.

It is said that all children omit subjects until a certain age. Some studies claim that this happens due to the initial setting of the null-subject parameter. In this research paper different factors pertaining to the phenomenon of the so-called null-subject parameter will be discussed.During the essay the majority of the focus will be will be placed on the discussion of that parameter. Therefore, different studies, which examine and try to explain the phenomenon of the null-subject parameter and the omission of subjects in early child language will be consulted, discussed and reflected upon. The main goal of the paper will be to answer the question whether the non-null-subject parameter is set from the beginning in the grammar of children who acquire English as a first language.Firstly, a brief explanation of the Principles and Parameter Theory will be given and the null-subject parameter or pro-drop parameter and its importance in language acquisition will be explained. To facilitate the explanation of the said parameter some examples of sentences from non-null subject languages, such as English and null-subject languages, such as Italian, Greek and Spanish will be provided. Then, an overview of different approaches, studies and claims considering the null-subject parameter and the omission of subjects will be provided in order to outline the further processing of that essay.Secondly, it will be moved on to the next part of the paper where two opposed studies, which try to explain why children omit subjects and if the reason for that omission is the null-subject parameter, will be presented and described. In order not to go beyond the scope of this paper, not all the available studies on that topic will be discussed.In the next part of the paper, the selected studies' findings will be stated and reflected. Furthermore, these studies will be compared to each other, to show possible differences and similarities regarding the different approaches. Based on that, their importance concerning the omission of subjects and the null-subject parameter will be outlined and discussed critically.In the last part of the paper, the most important issues will be summarized and evaluated. Based on all findings of this paper and on the preceding discussion, a conclusion will be drawn in order to answer the research question.
