Publisher's dark green ribbed cloth, gilt titles to spine, tail edge untrimmed. Inscribed by the author to the first blank: "Admiral Sir John Jellicoe G.C.B. | c. in c. g.f. | with duty and regards | from the author | 23.iii.1915". Some light spotting to preliminaries and to edges, top edge a little dusty, crease to flyleaf. A couple of marks to cloth, spine ends pushed, bottom corners a little bumped. Near fine. Young was serving as a Naval Officer on HMS Iron Duke in May 1915, when this book was published. HMS Iron Duke served as the flagship of the Grand Fleet based at Scapa Flow and commanded by Admiral Sir John Jellicoe. Following war service Young was elected as MP for Norwich as a Liberal and later as MP for Sevenoaks on the Conservative ticket. Signed.
