Near fine in a very good jacket with interior tape-repaired tear at head of front panel, short closed tears to rear panel. An architectural documentation of the Wittgenstein House in Vienna, as designed in 1927-28 for his sister by Austrian-born philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein (1889-1951). Following its 1972 designation as a national monument by the Vienna Landmark Commission, the house was restored in 1973. Illustrated-throughout in black-and-white, including three gatefold leaves of building/floor plans. With text in both German and English by Bernhard Leitner, and excerpts from chapters V and VI of the Family Recollections written in the early 1940s by Hermine Wittgenstein. This publication originally issued in softcover format in 1973 by the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design; this, presumably, the first hardcover edition.
