The Observer's Book of Observer's Books seems to be contradictory, referring to ".the rather impressionistic foliage," which was taken from an earlier Warne book, but using as an example of 1930s colour printing a picture of an edition with an oak tree. The bibliography within the book uses this (yew foliage) image. .

Observer's Pocket books is a series of pocket-sized books published by Frederick Warne and covering topics such as hobbies, art, nature and history.
