Our words are never perfect fits for our ideas. I can't think of the word "success" attached to me. But I've had loads o…f "fun" and I'm just about dripping every day for something I enjoy, which others would call "dry" (not "wet.) If you call my "fun" success, then, replying carefully to your question: I attribute it to my fine parents. They were earnest, conscientious, (I'll even say:) the Cape Cod type." American chemist, Willis R. Whitney (1868-1958) was the founder and longtime director of the pioneering research laboratory of General Electric. Among his contributions was the direction of research that led to the development of the modern electric light bulb and to improvements in vacuum tubes. As a high school student, Seymour Halpern (1913-1997), wrote letters to many notables of the day inquiring about their ideas to the keys to success in life. He would later go on to serve as Republican from New York to the 86th, 87th, 88th, 89th, 90th, 91st and 92nd United States Congresses, holding office from January 3, 1959, to January 3, 1973. old folds, toning, else very good.
