In den WarenkorbFirst edition, first printing. Signed limited edition. Original Sangorski and Sutcliffe binding of quarter brown morocco over yellow cloth boards, titles in gilt to the spine. Top edge gilt, others uncut. Illustrated with a title page vignette and 5 full page wood-engravings by Lettice Sandford. A very good copy, the binding firm with some rubbing at the tips of the slightly faded spine, the cloth boards toned at the edges and with a few small marks. The contents, with a previous owner's bookplate to the front endpaper and only the occasional isolated foxing spot are otherwise clean throughout. Limited edition of 50 copies, this example numbered 31 and signed by Christopher Whitfield in blue ink to the limitation page at the rear.
