Signed by the illustrator to the page following the half title. 30 plates and 15 illustrations in the text, from lithographs by Thomas Robert Way. Collated complete. Thomas Way (1861-1913) was an English painter, lithographer and printer, who designed posters for London Underground between 1910 and 1913. He was best known for his topographical lithographs of London. Philip Norman (1842-1931) was a British artist, author and antiquary, and was one of the key figures whose works record the topography of London between 1890 and 1950. In publisher's original cloth binding. Externally very smart, with slight wear to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. Spine is slightly sunned. Internally, firmly bound. Offsetting to the free end papers. Pages bright and clean, with the occasional handling mark and the odd spot to the first and last pages. Very Good. Thomas R.
