The essays featured in this volume are titled as follows: 'Explorations: Poetry of Lorine Niedecker'; 'Lorine Niedecker: A Feminine Sensibility'; 'Why Should We Hurry Home: Niedecker's Earth Ethic'; 'Niedecker's Last Years'. Lorine Niedecker was part of the Objectivist poetry movement of the early 20th century. After a 15 year absence from poetry in in the 1940s, Niedecker's work saw a revival in the 60s which encouraged her to continue writing.
