Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good+. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Good+ dj. Illustrated by (dj photo) Philippe Halsman (illustrator). First Edition. [ffep removed, otherwise quite a decent copy, with light shelfwear; jacket has a bit of paper loss at spine ends (no loss of text), a couple of tiny tears at edges of rear panel]. Novelization, of sorts, based on the TV series of the same name which starred Cox as "that most undominant of men," mild-mannered high school science teacher Robinson J. Peepers. The show ran for three years on NBC, ending its run the same year this book appeared, and in its low-key way seems remarkably modern when viewed today. NOISBN.

Manuskript / Papierantiquität
Draft script for the 1970 film. A sweet but simple blacksmith in a Western boomtown saves his earnings and sends them back East in what turns out to be a scam for a mail-order bride. The scam is revealed when the whole town turns out for the beauty's arrival by train, which never comes. Eventually the giant, downcast, decides to leave town and the townspeople convince the new saloon girl Sadie to play the part of the mail-order bride in order to retain the services of the blacksmith. This was to be the final film of Dan Blocker, who died prematurely from complications from gall bladder surgery. Set in American West.
