This copy of THE GENTLEST GIANT is a memento of an event that took place in Canon City, Colorado in October 1929. Alongside the warm inscription to Canon City teacher Dorothy Quine (with a wish tucked "up under the star" from the titular GIANT), there is a typewritten slip detailing how to register for the signing and banquet as well as a pamphlet about Anna Bird Stewart presumably handed out at the event. 8.25'' x 5.75''. Original blue cloth binding with orange stamping. Original unclipped ($2.00) yellow pictorial dust jacket. Orange topstain, fore-edge machine deckle.
