Tenslotte begeeft hij zich naar de kop van Overijssel. Daar bezoekt hij Kasteel Nijenhuis in Heino waar hij visstillevens, verdwaalde beelden en onbegrijpelijke schilderijen vindt. Van hieruit reist hij door naar Hattem om met Erwin Krol het weer te voorspellen op schilderijen van Jan Voerman. Tenslotte adviseert hij de kroonprins een voorbeeld ter nemen aan een paleis in de polder: het huis Rams Woerthe in Steenwijk.
