Zustand: new. Pages: 44 Language: Russian. The Petersburgian composer and musicologist Igor Vorobyov (born in 1965) is the author ?f music- scenic, chamber, choral and vocal compositions. Such works as "Russian Avantgarde and Alexander Mosolov's Creativity of 1920-30" belong to him, so as the collection of poems "Nocturne 33". Sonata for viola and piano was composed in 2001. There are some special features of soloing viola, i. e. the muffled pastel timbre, inclination to pensive melodious sphere, but not to mere virtuosity. These peculiarities of viola left traces on actually the whole tradition of viola music. The Sonata by Igor Vorobyov exposes the traits of this tradition. The inner tension is perceived by the listeners the more candid, the more complicated its way to open expression is. The unity of this way connects both of the Sonata's movements, for the second movement continues the process of this concealed emotional revelation, though being in the other hypostasis. Thus the lyrical sphere of the second movement seems quite delusive from this point. The Sonata for viola by Igor Vorobyov was fitstly performed in the Maly Hall of St Petersburg Philharmonic Society by V. Stopichev (viola) and N. Lee (piano) on March 21, 2002. 9785061563176.

Zustand: new. Pages: 48 Language: Russian. Igor Vorobyov (born in 1965) is the Petersburgian composer, musicologist, author of the opuses in different genres, i. e. music theatre, chamber, vocal, drama. His literary inclinations revealed in such researches as "Russian Avant-garde and Alexander Mosolov's Creation of the 1920ies-1930ies" and the collection of poems entitled as "Nocturne 33". The Concerto for contrabass and orchestra refers to 2004. As the contrabass repertoire is rather scant, Igor Vorobyov's Concerto is an attempt to fill in the gaps of this area by means of this original virtuoso composition able to match with the cello programme. The composition is dedicated to Alexander Alekseyevich Shilo, teacher and interpreter, assistant professor of the St.Petersburg Conservatoire, having enjoyed popularity as the soloist-contrabassist. The premi? re took place on October 3, 2005 at the Assembly Hall of the Russian State Hertsen University. The Concerto for contrabass and orchestra was represented by the State orchestra "Classics" (art director - A. Kantorov) conducted by Roman Leontyev. While the solo part was performed by Alexander Shilo. 9790660042700.
