So the author tried to find out why did these institutions failed to deliver effectively? Which kind of mechanism, the country must have to address the grievances to its citizens. The author has gone through the institutional development of the Ombudsman in different countries along with India. To under better the office of Ombudsman and its feasibility in India, he had compared the Ombudsman in Sweden, United Kingdom and India. The author found some issues in the "The Lokpaland Lokayuktas Act, 2013" which have been highlighted. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Anil Kumar Vishwakarma was born and brought up in district Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh. He completed Bachelor in Science (B.Sc) and Masters in Political Science(M.A) from M.J.P Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and further went on to do LL.B from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and LL.M from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He worked as a Legal Researcher with Justice Swatanter Kumar (Ex. Judge, Supreme Court of India), Chairperson, National Green Tribunal (PB), New Delhi.
