Produced from a first impression [1927] issue. It has the price of 7/6 to the spine. Uneven colouring to rear panel. Photo accompanies. Red/wine cloth with gilt/gold lettering to the spine, which has been reinked. Small tooled image to the centre of the front board. The boards remain firmly attached to page block. All housed beneath the accompanying dustjacket. Decorated endpages have been adhered to the inner front board; this was often done to strengthen the page block. Decorated endpages are present to the rear. Story has 242 pages with 16 pages which list other Everyman's books published [ a few of these pages are soiled]. The 242 pages are clean throughout. - There are a few pasted in images: On the page opposite the full title page, there is a beautiful image of Virginia Woolf when she is about 20 years old. She sure was a beauty of her time.
