Quarto, pages [96]-136 plus a folding map (captioned in a margin 'Transactions of the R. S. of Victoria, 1889'). Provenance: Sir Edward Charles Stirling (1848-1919), Australian anthropologist and the first professor of physiology at the University of Adelaide, with his armorial bookplate ('Gang Forward') on the front pastedown. The list of contents and the pencilling are in his hand. The later bookplate of Noel Lothian, Director of the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, 1948-1980, is mounted adjacent to it.
