Autor opisuje svoje skusenosti s neludskymi podmienkami vo vazniciach a pracovnych taboroch v komunistickom Ceskoslovensku a predstavuje galeriu spoluvaznov z radov politicky prenasledovanych. Zaverecna cast sa venuje diskriminacii byvalych politickych vaznov, ktora pretrvavala aj po ich prepusteni. Tieto spomienky su cennym svedectvom o porusovani ludskych prav pocas obdobia ceskoslovenskeho stalinizmu a prispievaju k poznaniu perzekucie protifasistickych odbojovych predstavitelov po februari 1948.
