Spine with four raised bands. The horizontal line of the bands is continued onto the boards with a simple tooled design, highlighted with gilt dots. Fading and slight marking to spine. Good solid binding with no cracking to joints. Top page edge gilt, marbled endpapers Light browning to page edges, very clean text throughout. Thurston's breakout novel, a bestseller that went on to be filmed twice.
