(14) 96 pages, 6pp table, 12mo, engraved frontis, and 10 copper engravings of fish in the text, showing small loss to bottom edge of the title page just touching the date in part. Recently recased retaining the original blind ruled leather boards old wear to upper outer corners, new matching spine and title label, a very good copy. The last edition in Venables lifetime, Venables was a professional soldier in the parliamentary army, and was made Governor of Chester in 1644. he spent his leisure time angling. W.S 214.
