In den Warenkorb8vo, pp. vi, 218; somewhat roughly opened, with some tears in the margins of a few pages (e.g. pp. 73-4 and 201-4); contemporary (presumably original) blue-green cloth, spine lettered in gilt, a little worn. First and apparently only edition. E.G. Varnham was a sailor, apparently from the Isle of Bute in Argyll: his collection includes plentiful references to the sea, and also an attractive poem 'On Dogs', in which the characteristics of various British dogs are analysed. Copac lists just the one copy, at the British Library (catalogued as The Dewdrop, which makes it a bit hard to find), and I have not been able to trace another. Not in Jackson, Annals of English verse; not in NUC.
