Very good without any editing marks to the image. "New Museum Piece - Bahrain: With her lateen sails billowing a replica of an ancient pearling dhow makes her way to England from Bahrain. The ship, built by the special order of Shaikh Isa bin Sulman Al-Khalifah, ruler of Bahrain, is typical of the pearling fleet of the nation, which before the development of the cultured pearl, numbered over a thousand craft. The dhow was especially built as a gift for the International Sailing Craft Association (ISCA) now forming in Exeter, England". The dhow was displayed at the ISCA-funded Exeter Maritime Museum, which opened in 1969. Among its other exhibits were a Gulf shadoof presented by Gray McKenzie & Co, an Iraqi Guffa, a Lake Titicaca reed boat, and traditional craft from across Europe. Good, only one of which with a minor edit mark to the front, some creasing and closed tears, with printed and ms captions and ink stamps to the back. In date order: (1) An Arab woman selling traditional terracotta jugs and vases, 14 Dec 1956 // (2) "An Arab merchant drives his well-stocked camel cart along the sun-drenched coastal road", 9 Jun 1962 // (3) "A roadside cool drinks vendor serves a veiled Arab woman while modern traffic rumbles through the ancient streets of Aden", 9 Jun 1962 // (4) "A roadside deal is in progress in the Souk Arab Quarter of Aden. Sheltered from the sweltering sun beneath an umbrella, a turban-topped, bearded Arab trinkets seller squats in the street with his wares to haggle with a prospective customer", 20 Jul 1962 // (5) "Tourists from a passenger liner come ashore for a shopping spree in the British Colony of Aden, the principal commercial distribution center of the Arabian Peninsula", 16 Apr 1966.

Good, two-hole punched to the margin (not affecting image). Dated 24 July, this was prepared to illustrate a news report on the hijack of Japan Air Lines Flight 404 from Amsterdam to Tokyo by Palestinian and Japanese terrorists during 20-23 July. An arrow marks the point of hijack just outside Schiphol, and its zigzagging route across Europe and the Arabian Peninsula to Dubai where it landed after several Middle Eastern governments refused it permission. From Dubai the terrorists demanded the release of Kozo Okamoto, survivor of the Japanese Red Army's attack on Lod Airport in Tel Aviv. When Israel refused, the hijackers flew first to Damascus, then Benghazi, where on 23 July they released the passengers and crew and blew up the plane.
