Staining on the boards, loose pages, and some edgewear thus very good with near fine contents. A commercially produced scrapbook used by Mary E. Umbaugh used to commemorate her 1933 graduation from McKinley Technical High School in Washington, D.C. The album begins with a photo of Mary alongside a pennant with the High School logo on it. Following this are clippings from a school publication discussing the upcoming graduation and what student's planned to do once they were finished high school. Mary includes handwritten lyrics to their "senior song" entitled "So Long, Tech High" to the music of the chorus of "Stout Hearted Men." Also featured throughout the album are newspaper clippings from football games and other events at the school. A clipping with a photo of a cheerleader reads, "cheer - but Theda Wonder, of Central, should have cheered louder. The team evidentially did not hear her, or how could they have lost to Western?" The snapshot section shows Mary and her friends posed around campus and later in their cap and gowns during their graduation ceremony. The final page includes the program for the graduation exercises. A nice collection of ephemera detailing a young woman's graduation from high school in 1933.
