Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. Reprint. Booklet. transcribed in the following pages are the notes contained in the manuscript which they made during their travels. However because these notes are short, rather terse and to the point, I have taken the liberty of inserting some extra words, using italics, to assist in making the…content more readable. I 'borrowed' some illustrations from the other manuscript 'American letters 1884' to add interest, and have inserted a map as endpapers so the journey can be followed. The places they visited, which are shown on the map, I have used the present day spelling in the text, where places are not shown I have kept to the original spelling contained in the 'notes' even though some names may be incorrect. In view of the fact that it is possible these notes were only written as an 'aide memoir' for the two travellers, the information given appears rather sparce. However if this booklet is read in conjunction with the 'Letters from America 1884' (which is four times as long) it can make a very good preliminary account. Illustrated. 34 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).

Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. Reprint. Paperback. Whilst making their tour both Frank and Hugh, wrote letters home for circulation amongst the family, as was the practice in those days. As the writers did not append their names to the letters it has been difficult to ascribe authorship so I leave it to the reader to decide for… themselves. At a later date the letters were beautifully hand written into book form as a permanent record of the tour by a member of Hugh's family, wither by his mother Mariana or by one of his two sisters Marion or Margery, we are still trying to discover the correct author and any later copies of the booklet will be amended accordingly. The manuscript included a number of pasted in illustrations taken from contemporary publications such as guide books or magazines and I have included most of these in the booklet, however, due to the staining from the old type paste used these are not as lcear as I would have wished. There were also a number of contemporary photographs which have not been included owing to the difficulty in obtaining reasonable copies from such old and faded originals. The route taken by Frank and Hugh on their American journey has been marked as near as possible on the modern may inserted as endpapers to this booklet. Illustrated. 162 pp, (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
