Zwei Jahre später, 1962, erschien die schwedische Ausgabe des Hobbit mit Janssons Illustrationen. Nun kommt diese lang erwartete Ausgabe das erste Mal auch in deutscher Fassung heraus. Very indistinct stamping on title page and last page of library mostly gone. Also a stamp from the previous ex-libris stamp that was on.

An attractive edition. Given the importance of the Nordic influence on Tolkien's work, there is something reciprocal about the foremost illustrator of the region turning her hand to one of his most enduring works - and the results are delightful.
