The verses on the Dover Games are by Drayton, Randall, Wallington, Cole, Ben Johnson, Thomas Heywood and other Elizabethan and Jacobean poets. Contains facsimile of 1636 frontispiece and title pages, 2 pp facsimile of a 1819 poster of a Dover's Meeting with wrestling and other sports, also dancing prizes and horse racing, then a facsimile of the 1878 edition. 85 pp. Fine condition book in Fine condition dust wrapper with tiny rubs to the tips, not price clipped, £2. 2s.
