A highly original sci-fi yarn in which the world enters a state of suspended animation for.well, Three Thousand Years, after which mankind awakens and finds the world horribly changed and perilous, at which point they just go back to continuing the unwise behaviour that got them there in the first place. A cautionary tale, in case we needed another one of those.
