This book contains many illustrations and diagrams, as well as a folding plate in the front of the book depicting the indicator and dynamometer. The book is bound in cloth with the title from the original paper wraps pasted on the front board. It also contains the original price of the book, 'Four Shillings and Sixpence'. The previous owner's signature is present on the front pastedown: 'John Kennedy's Book, Cullingworth, April 22nd 1864'. Bound in cloth. Externally, smart with bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities. Title from original paper wraps to the front board.
