Each volume bound in a uniform i/4 leather head of spines chipped, volume 2 with old library number to the spine, vol 4 joint cracked to upper edge the contents and binding remain tight vols 5 and 7 even fading to the spines odd mark to some cover and rubbing to corners of vol 1. Vol1 and 3 has a bookplate to front end paper of Ernest Callard, volume 2 single stamp to front end paper "Reference Only" no other stamps, occasional pencil notes and spotting to some volumes the contents clean and tight. Published as a periodical over 18 years volume 3 contains the 73 pp translation of "De Gestis Herwardi Saxonis, (The Exoloits Of Hereward The Saxon)" transcribed by S. H. Miller and translated by Rev W. D. Sweeting. Overall, a very good- complete set of a scare periodical on the area and rare to find complete in the 7 volumes all published.
