Under Eisenhower's postmaster general (1953-61) the entire postal system was overhauled. Handsome signature in bold blue ballpoint, heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p., 1972 March 4. Fine. With original envelope. Accompanied by a superb, uncommon 7" X 9" glossy original news agency photograph (International News Photos) of 1955, an informal head-and-shoulders closeup captioned "Postmaster General Arthur Summerfield tells reporters at Lowry Air Force Base press conference of President Eisenhower's approval of an administration effort to raise postal rates." Near fine. A choice signature and an outstanding vintage photograph.
