In den WarenkorbFirst edition hard back binding in contemporary full tan tree calf covered boards, the spine divided into six panels, gilt and burgundy morocco lettering label in the second, gilt tools to the others, front and back parallel twin gilt lines with small centre detail to the perimeters. Quarto. 10½'' x 8¾''. Contains (viii), 398 pp… with 7 full-page tissue-guarded copper plate engravings, each with leaf of explanatory text. A little staining from the leather turn-in's front and back, without any age toning to the paper beyond the original end papers and without any foxing to the text block. Lovely copy. This volume, along with other books of the period, came from the family estate of Sir Frederick Treves (15 February 1853 - 7 December 1923) a prominent British surgeon, and an expert in anatomy.
