"On 29th July, 1946, Nikolaus von Falkenhorst, one-time Commander-in-Chief of the German Armed Forces in Norway, faced a British Military Tribunal at Brunswick on nine charges of committing a war crime, was convicted on seven of those charges, and sentenced to death; ultimately this sentence was commuted to twenty years of imprisonment. These crimes charged him with the responsibility for the killing of British soldiers and sailors, prisoners of war." (Publisher). This documentation of the proceedings of a Military Court is illustrated with some 30 b/w reproductions of photographs, including documents, and four fold out maps of military operations under von Falkenhorst's command.
