Kernbergs psychodynamischen Konzepten (1985, 1996). Als klinischer Vorläufer des STIPO ist das Strukturelle Interview (Kernberg 1981; Clarkin et al. 1998; Buchheim et al. 1987) anzusehen, das bereits implizit Richtlinien zur Erfassung der Persönlichkeitsorgani- sation enthält (Kernberg 1981; Clarkin et al. 1998; Buchheim et al. 1987). Das klinische Strukturelle Interview erlaubt es dem erfahrenen Kliniker, sein Wissen und seine Intuition in das Interview einzubringen. Der Nachteil liegt allerdings in der begrenzten Reliabilität zwischen verschiedenen Interviewern und der unausge- wogenen Repräsentation einzelner Fragenkomplexe. Demgegenüber liegt der Vorteil des STIPO in seinem strukturierten Aufbau, der eine reliable Einschätzung von psychischer Struktur und struktureller Veränderung ermöglicht.
