La IA contemporánea de aprendizaje automático permite que las máquinas se acerquen cada vez más a las capacidades humanas de percepción y razonamiento en dominios específicos. Este libro explora la relación entre la teoría marxista y la IA a través de diferentes conceptos teóricos, incluyendo los de plusvalía, trabajo, las condiciones generales de producción, composición de clase y población sobrante. Argumenta en contra del aceleracionismo de izquierda y los pensadores postoperaísmo, sosteniendo que un análisis más profundo de la IA produce una imagen más compleja y perturbadora del futuro del capitalismo de la que se ha identificado previamente. "Poder inhumano" sostiene que en su trayectoria actual, la IA representa un arma definitiva para el capital, con la que convertirá a la humanidad en obsoleta o la transformará en una nueva especie de asalariados transhuma.
