In den WarenkorbVellum. Zustand: VG for age. Reprint - 1st-1594. t.p. with central engraved cartouche+ 7 ff.+279+(6, index), 1594 given at end of Dedication; stubs between pp.272-273 look like an excision but are oddments used in binding, otherwise clean, tight & unmarked. Preceding this is the PROMPTUARII CATHOLICI SUPER EVANGELIA DE FESTIS Sanctorum Totius Anni Pars Secunda: t.p. lacking author's name but also 1606 Paris Fouet (though no earlier date in text as lacking a separate Dedication); 266+6 ff. (index). Again preceding this and first work in volume is the PROMPTUARIUM CATHOLICUM SUPER EVANGELIA DOMINICALIA totius anni (see heading p.10, but bibliographically referenced as first volume in set), but this lacks t.p., beginning with the Epistola Dedicatoria ( 4pp.) dated 1588 followed by 'Scripturae Evangelicae' text list for use on specific festivals etc. (9 pp., end-piece engraving p.8)+266. Three sequential parts of the same work by Stapleton, but his name appearing only on Part 3 t.p. (hence I have prioritised it here). The spine has, rather faintly, 'Stapletonius in evangelic[ae] dominicalia' (another line illegible).First published in Cologne in 1592, 1592, 1594 respectively. A very early erased 2 ll. inscription top first page of first work: 'Richard Walsh - Bibliotheca Antonianis' (rest illegible), early ink squiggles to pastedown and front endpaper apparently erasing owners' names, 'Prendergast' still legible. Internally tight, generally clean and secure, no browning; vellum covers firm and minimally worn but quite dirty, especially spine, rear internal pastedown is detached towards edge with a thin hanging torn strip. Text obviously entirely in Latin. This Paris edition apparently less common than late 16th century ones.…
