In den WarenkorbJohn H. Smith (illustrator). Scarce copy of a guide to Skipton and the surrounding towns and villages of the Craven district, published in 1907, with much contemporaneous information, not least from the many pages of advertisements at the front and rear of the book which detail the particulars of many local businesses (as well as a half-page advertisement listing available 'Apartments to Let' with descriptions such as 'Mrs. T. T. Fawcett, Laburnum House, Hawes - Sitting room, two bedrooms. Piano. Bath. Pleasantly situated. Good Fishing.'). With 31 black and white photographs, many by John H. Smith, pp. 196. First Edition. Rebound in card by an amateur with the original spine and a facsimile copy of the cover design. 21.5 x 14 cm In good condition, corners a little worn and whilst the pages are overall fairly clean and very readable, there are some smudges and the first couple of pages at the front and rear are a little more worn and dirtied.
