Manuskript / Papierantiquität
See his entry in the Oxford DNB. (BBTI has John Andrews with bookshop and circulating library at 167 New Bond Street from before 1831 to 1857.) 2pp, 12mo. Bifolium. Extracted from an album, and with the gutter strengthened with archival tape. Otherwise in fair condition, lightly aged and worn. As a piece of business correspondence has a spike hole through the centre of both leaves, unfortunately also through the 'H' of the signature 'H L Bulmer', which is little more than a scrawl, with corkscrew paraphe. Addressed on reverse of second leaf, with three red postmarks and red wax seal in two parts, 'Mr: William [Martyun?], / 167, New Bond Street, / London / Angleterre', with his initials 'HLD' (i.e. Henry Lytton Dalling) at bottom left. He writes to correct 'some mistake as to the acct. you lately sent me which does not coincide with others that I have'. He describes how he has been overcharged by £1 17s 0d, leaving 'then due £4. 14. 6 whh. I will pay to any one here you may appoint'. He proceeds to explain how there is also 'some mistake to the books'. He concludes by giving a 'receipt in full' which he wishes the firm to send him.

Manuskript / Papierantiquität
See his entry and hers in the Oxford DNB. 1p, 12mo. In good condition, lightly aged, and folded for postage. Written in a not entirely straightforward hand (although very much much better than that of his brother the novelist Lord Lytton). Reads: 'My dear Lady Theresa, / I am very much obliged by your kind remembrance of me and the very agreeable party to wh. you are so good as to invite me. / Very much indeed do I regret dining at Buckingham palace since I fear, [?], that I shall not be away in time to reach you at a decent time. If I can do so however you may quite see that I will. / Yrs. very truly / H. L. Bulwer'.
