Examination prize label on ffep, presented to sub-lieutenant Carr for meritorious examination by the Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty in 1886. The text deals with all war operations with reference to the Napoleonic Campaigns (Waterloo, the Peninsula, the Danube, etc), the American Civil War, The Franco-Prussian War etc. Some wear to edges a scuffs to covers but a sound, attractive copy.
