The chilli thrips population increased and gradually reached peak level of 5.6% infestation at 42nd standard week (October second week). 2 sprays revealed that all the treatments were significantly reducing the chilli thrips population. Among the pesticides evaluated, Spinosad (T4) and Dimethoate (T2) were superior in the management of chilli thrips. Followed by, Imidachloprid (T7), Methomyl (T5), Flubendamide (T1) and Fipronil (T6). This was followed by Cypermethrin (T3) which was recorded as least effective treatment within the insecticide treaments. The highest yield was recorded in T4 Spinosad (212.53 q/ha), followed by T2 (198.52 q/ha), T7 (181.13 q/ha), T5 (178.56 q/ha), T1 (170.42 q/ha), T6 (168.71 q/ha), T3 (159.02 q/ha) as compared to control To (80.44 q/h).
