A.; and with a selection of Seder melodies." This delightful Holocaust-era Haggadah retells the story of the Jewish Exodus told during Passover and has 4 color moveable plates: Moses floats down the river among the bulrushes, the ten plagues appear, the "afikomen" is hidden and found and the Red Sea parts for the crossing. Mechanicals and other color and b&w illustrations by Erwin Singer. The book has become a Passover classic, its colorful pages and moving parts reprinted numerous times, perhaps most famously in Nazi Germany in 1933 and 1937, the Passover story carrying additional meaning for the German-Jewish children who would be enjoying it during their time in Germany and, if they were lucky enough, in their own exodus from the land of their birth. SUBJECT(S): Seder -- Juvenile literature. Passover -- Ouvrages pour la jeunesse. Pa^que -- Haggadot. Judaism -- Liturgy. OCLC: 23676018. OCLC lists only 6 copies of the 1942 edition worldwide (Penn, Stanford, LOC, GWU, Toronto Public, TAU). One pull piece missing. Some scrathes to covers, paper browning, internal binding repair? Corners bumped, Otherwise Condition, with all other moving parts working very well. (YIDCHI-6-1A).
