The current generation of globalatmospheric chemistry models are intercompared andthe factors controlling global ozone budgets areexplored. It is demonstrated that the futureclimate change can degrade the U.S. ozone airquality by affecting the air pollution meteorologysuch as temperature and ventilation. The changes inanthropogenic emissions outside of the UnitedStates impose another challenge by enhancing thehemispheric transport of air pollution and hencebackground ozone.
