(B&W photographs, facsimile documents) Handsomely produced volume, definitive within its scope, the only caveat being that the main title is somewhat misleading, as it implies that the book is a complete Sennett filmography, when in fact it includes only those films represented by documents in the Academy Library's Mack Sennett Papers -- but that's no small thing, given that that collection is the single most important cache of archival documents related to Sennett in the world. (And was donated to the Academy by Mack himself, in 1951!) In any event, that small quibble aside, the book is an invaluable resource for scholars of silent film comedy.
