A beautifully designed, hardback book, with the front board decorated with colourful flags all from different countries of the empire and black block type title slap bang in the middle of the board. This book is in nice condition, normal wear, marks and tear apply consistent with use and age. Sixteen drawings in colour by the prolific W. Rainey. No published date in the book, but would estimate to be late 19th century and probably a First Edition. All pages are gilt edge to top of papers. An amazing collection of poetry by some truly great poets, from Blake to Longfellow, from Shakespeare to Sir Walter Scott and so on.
